Now, this is an old story, but I thought it was good enough to rehash for a second or two. I don’t know much about it but the story is fantastic just for quotes like this in reference to Glen’s playing time with the Lakers: “She (Glen’s wife Christina) ranted that if she was in Glen’s shoes, it would have been “Latrell Sprewell II” - kind of like what her estranged husband just did to her house visitor.” The full article is below.
This got me thinking on some other weird stories involving athletes. See a few of my favorites after the jump.

Former New Jersey Nets forward Jayson WIlliams was charged with manslaughter in the shooting death of a driver on his property in New Jersey back in 2002. The jury eventually deadlocked but he currently faces the possibility of a retrial on the manslaughter charge.

In my opinion this is the craziest athlete related story of all time. Bison Dele, formerly Brian Williams of the Bulls, disappeared along with his girlfriend on a boat in the pacific ocean in July of 2002. No crime was ever charged and to this day nobody knows what happened to Dele and his girlfriend, Serena Karlan. The story is something out of a movie.

This last story is definitely a weird one, and probably the saddest in a way. Justin Strzelczyk was an offensive lineman with the Pittsburgh Steelers from 1990-1998. In October of 2004, he led police officers on a 40-mile high speed chase that ended in his death when he hit a tanker truck. Just one of those things that you can probably never understand.
